IWCC Four Nation Wheelchair Cricket Championship 2023

International Wheelchair Cricket Council and Gujrat Wheelchair Cricket Association organized Four Nation ‘International Wheelchair Cricket Championship 2023’ at Gujrat, India on 23rd – 29th March 2023. Based on the invitation of IWCC & GWCA, the Bangladesh Wheelchair Sports Foundation Wheelchair Cricket Team participated in the event where 13 players and 7 officials joined.

On the opening day, BWSF Wheelchair Cricket Team played the first group match against India Wheelchair Cricket Team and lost by 41 runs. In the second group match, BWSF Wheelchair Cricket Team played against Sri Lanka Wheelchair Cricket Team on 25th March 2023 and lost by 68 runs. On 26th March 2023, BWSF Wheelchair Cricket Team played the third match against Nepal Wheelchair Cricket Team and lost by 7 wickets.

After the group stage matches, based on the result, the BWSF Wheelchair Cricket team played in the Semi-Final against Sri Lanka Wheelchair Cricket Team on 27th March 2023 and lost by 4 wickets.

Mr. Raju Miah, Bowler, BWSF Wheelchair Cricket Team was the best bowler of the championship for taking the highest wickets. Captain Noor Nahian was the 5th highest wickets taker.
