Bangabandhu Para Table Tennis Tournament 2022
On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh, the National Paralympic Committee of Bangladesh in collaboration with Bangladesh Wheelchair Sports Foundation organized 'Bangabandhu Para Table Tennis Tournament 2022' on 10 June 2022 at Table Tennis Court, National Sports Council, Dhaka. This event was sponsored by Nobanno Prokashoni, Urmi Group, and Finager Fintech.
In the opening ceremony, the chief guest was Prof. Dr. Md. Sohrab Hossain, Executive Director of CRP. The special guest were Dr. Md. Aminul Islam, Treasurer of National Paralympic Committee of Bangladesh, Mr. Ashfaque Ahmed, Chairman of Urmi Group Limited, Shaheli Tasima Firdous, Publisher of Nobanno Prokashoni, Dr. Nasiruddin Ahmed, Adviser of Bangladesh Wheelchair Sports Foundation. The chair of the ceremony was Engr. Md. Maksudur Rahman, Secretary General of National Paralympic Committee of Bangladesh.
In this tournament, 10 wheelchair table tennis players and 04 standing table tennis players were participated. Mahbub Bin Mohiuddin was the champion and Md. Ripon was the runner up in the wheelchair category. Soumik Mondal was the champion and Masiath Mohammad was the runner up in the standing category.
In the closing ceremony, Khandker Hassan Munir Suman, Vice President of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation was the chief guest. Mr. Ehsan Tanim, CEO of Finager Fintech, Mr. Bashir Al Hossain, Member of NPC Bangladesh, Mr. Anayet Ulla Khan, Member of NPC Bangladesh, Mr. Gautam Das, Deputy Director of Physical Education Centre of Jagannath University. The chair of the ceremony was Engr. Md. Maksudur Rahman, Secretary General of National Paralympic Committee of Bangladesh.
